Managing multiple WhatsApp numbers

Connect more than one WhatsApp number from the same workspace so multiple brands/regions share one inbox.

Each workspace can connect multiple WhatsApp numbers. All inbound messages land in the same shared inbox, but each conversation is tagged with the receiving number.

Add another number

  1. Make sure your gateway is online.
  2. Go to Dashboard → Channels.
  3. Click + Add WhatsApp number.
  4. Scan the new QR with the new phone’s WhatsApp.

The single gateway can host multiple numbers — you do not need a second VPS unless you want isolation.

Per-plan limits

  • Free — 1 number
  • Starter — 2 numbers
  • Growth — 5 numbers
  • Custom — configure during checkout

Routing outbound

When you reply, WaSMS automatically uses the same number that received the inbound. For campaigns, pick the sending number. For API sends, include account_phone in the request body.

Best practices

  • One number per brand — keeps conversations clean and compliant.
  • Different countries = different VPS regions.
  • Keep all gateways online; offline number = lost inbound.
